Food pantry sees uptick in St. Louis County
The Feed My People program in South St. Louis County has seen a major uptick in community members asking for help due to the coronavirus pandemic. Normally the organization would do a sit-down interview with each person but they have suspended that step in the operation. "The important thing right now is to feed people," says Karen Lanter, the executive director of the program. To keep things as safe as possible, the organization has started doing curbside delivery of groceries and a has implemented disinfecting practices.
