Everyone Needs Help Sometime!

Many of those who turn to Feed My People are “short-term” members of our family. Often they are laid-off skilled workers that require supplemental food assistance for their families. It’s embarrassing and difficult to ask for food when you’ve never had to before. Feed My People understands and strives to treat everyone that asks for help with respect and dignity.

In addition to supplemental or emergency food, all pantry patrons are encouraged to meet with our job counselor to update resume’s and learn about employment opportunities in our community.

We all know someone that has needed help and realize that at any time, we might need help, too. Feed My People can be your heart and your hands in helping others. Give STL Day, May 6, is only three days away. Please help us help those who need a little extra help HERE#GiveSTLDay

Everyone Needs Help Sometime!

The Feed My People mission is “to show God’s love and compassion to all His people, particularly His people in need”.  People in need come from various backgrounds, color and ethnicities.  The common denominator is the need for food.  Having additional food means there will be money for medications, utilities, the rent payment, and gas for the car.

One recurring scenario, at both Feed My People offices, is that of retired couples on a fixed income that are now raising grandchildren or even having a son or daughter return home to live.  For many seniors, having supplemental food, on a bi-monthly basis, is often the difference between buying food and medication.

Feed My People relies on the generosity of people like you who believe that everyone needs help sometime.  Save the date and get ready to give on May 6th HERE #GiveSTLDay
