Unsung Heroes (Doing big things with little recognition)
- Stanley Koch joined High Ridge FMP 1/27/20 in the pantry area. During this Covid-19 issue, his help has been invaluable. He comes in a couple times a week and helps with anything that needs attention. Stanley even refused to go home when a wasp sting made his hand look like a balloon. You’re the man, Stanley!
- Ginny Becker became a client interviewer at South County in 2005. As client interviews changed during the pandemic, Ginny remained a willing and gracious volunteer helping to facilitate those changes while still being the friendly, helpful face of Feed My People. Thank you Ginny, we’re so glad to have you on board.

NEWS FROM FMP...HELP CENTER

COVID Can’t Kill Christmas!
Both the South County and High Ridge Help Centers will continue the Adopt-A-Family, Christmas Tree and Elf Shop programs although they will look very different as we follow guide lines to keep our volunteers, staff and clients safe. Your patience is appreciated as details are decided.
However, we do know that volunteers will be needed so please contact Stephanie at StephanieB@fmpstl.org if you would like to volunteer for these programs.

THRIFTY HANGER:
Because so many people have been out of work, furloughed or lost their jobs during the pandemic, shoppers are looking for a broad inventory of low cost items and great deals when they shop. The Thrifty Hanger thrift stores have been busy!
Masks are mandatory, social distance is strongly encouraged and routine sanitizing is done throughout the day.
Come on in and see our great fall items...it’s great shopping weather!

FEED MY PEOPLE EVENTS AND UPDATES
Manna March: This year’s Manna March, a virtual Walk Against Hunger, has been extended until October 31 to maximize fundraising capabilities.
We are excited to have such wonderful sponsors, planning committee and walkers who are committed to helping Feed My People raise valuable funds to feed those who struggle to feed their families.
If you haven’t registered as a walker (logoed T-shirt and face mask included) or made a Footprint Donation, you still have time to participate. Details are on the website HERE
